By following these easy tips, it will aid in the speed and accuracy in which your job can be completed. Please read below to help us meet your expectations.
1. Give us clear and concise directions – The clearer you are about what you want and when you need it, the better we will be able to help you. Please be as detailed as you can. These details are vital and without them it slows down the process.
2. Send a hardcopy – Hardcopies are the only way we have of checking your order. If you are submitting your files electronically, please send along a low res. PDF/JPG version so we can print it and use it to quality control your work.
3. Send us only those files you want imaged - Extra files create confusion and will likely delay your order.
4. Make sure you files are proportional – Please remember to properly set the page layout to your finished product size before you start producing your job! For example, if your final image is 30x40, set up your page to that size or to something proportional such as 15x20, which is ½ the size of the final.
5. Provide us your "native" files – These are the files that are normally produced from the software you use.
6. Include all the fonts you used - even if they are standard fonts. Although we have many fonts on file, we do not have them all so to be safe send all fonts or your order will be delayed. PLEASE NOTE: We prefer customers not to use the “type styles” function such italics or bold built into programs like Quark. Instead of using the styles function, please assign the true italic or bold font to their type. This insures that the proper font is actually present before printing.
7. Include all linked files - Support files should be linked and provided separately. If possible, raster files placed in Illustrator should not be embedded. We need to view support files individually. If a file is embedded, we cannot open it directly and so the color reproduction might be compromised.
8. Understanding turn around time - Turnaround time varies. Larger orders and fabric orders (especially ones that need finishing) will require more time. If you order comes in at 3 PM on Monday, Monday is not considered one of the full working days that is part of your turnaround time. Be aware that proofing takes extra time and the turnaround time starts when the proof is approved. *Please contact your sales rep or a customer service representative if you have special time requirements.
9. Email us with order changes - such as a change in quantity, delivery instructions, due dates, or copy changes, please email production@quakerchroma.com and cc your sales rep with new information. It is always best to put it in writing.
